About Meredith

Meredith College and STEM

With over 90 undergraduate academic programs, close to 30 graduate and certificate programs, and StrongPoints®, a powerful strengths-focused personal coaching initiative, Meredith College has been named a “Best College” by U.S. News, The Princeton Review, and Forbes.

Meredith’s emphasis on strengths-based education is particularly important to undergraduate students pursuing careers in STEM. Research suggests that the environment women experience in college can significantly impact their success in STEM majors. For example, the presence of female role models validates that women can continue, and thrive, in these fields. And gender stereotypes can be challenged (or reinforced) within the college setting.

In addition, Meredith alumnae/i who are leaders in STEM fields are eager to serve as valuable contacts to students and young professionals. Those connections are fostered through programs such as alumnae panels and Meredith Mentors, an exclusive networking platform that helps connect alumnae to one another and students.
